You have only 3 hints per level, however you are welcome to use notes to solve sudoku puzzle free online. There is also an option to highlight incorrect numbers to prevent duplicates as you play.

Apart from the original sudoku game, there are irregular levels also available in 4 difficulty modes. The numbers still have to be unique in every row, column or house. However, the latter have random borders, which are not square. I’m sure, all free board game addicts will indulge in this addictive puzzler.
